1.    How can I make a reservation?

You can choose from 4 options:

-      Book online, please click here!

-      Call Reservation Office: (+41) 041 711 7439 (weekdays 7am – 9pm, weekends 2 pm)

-      Reserve a room in person at the reception (Monday to Sunday 2pm – 9pm)

-      Book a room at the RED SELF CHECK IN AUTOMAT located in front of the Hotel

 

2.    Which option is the easiest one?

online booking is the most convenient option to make a reservation.

 

3.    How do I benefit from online booking?

-      You can book a room any time you wish from every place in the world

-      You get automatic confirmation with the reservation number

-      You save your time and you are absolutely sure that the room is waiting for you

-      You can check in even few minutes after completing reservation form

 

 4.    When do I need to pay?

You have to pay on the day of arrival while checking in.

 

5.    What time can I check in?

You can check in between 2pm and 9pm at the Reception or on weekdays at the hotel bar untill midnight  or at the RED SELF CHECK IN AUTOMAT which is located in front of the Hotel Station Zug and is available 24 hour.

 

6. Can I check in before 2 pm?

Yes, however this is possible under a few conditions. Before 2 pm you can check in only at the RED SELF CHECK IN AUTOMAT and only if the room which you booked is at that time available (please take into consideration that we can not guarantee that the room will be ready if you  arrive very early in the morning  because the check out time at our hotel is at 10 am and then the room must be cleaned by the cleaning company, which also takes time, please be patient).

 

7.    What do I need in order to check in?

You need your Reservation Number, ID (or passport) and Credit Card! The RED SELF CHECK IN AUTOMAT accepts Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, American Express, EC-Card.

Please be aware that you can`t pay by cash at the Self Check In Automat. If you want to pay in cash, you need to see the reception (opening hours 2 - 9 pm).

 

8.    What should I do if I don`t have a valid credit card or it doesn`t work for some other reasons?

You can pay by cash at the reception (in CHF or Euro) during the opening hours (Monday to Sunday from 2pm to 9pm) or on weekdays at the hotel bar untill midnight. Remember that in this case you must arrive between 2pm and 9pm (weekdays midnight)! That is the only time when you can pay by cash!

 

9.    What should I do if I arrive after 9pm?

You need to check in at the RED SELF CHECK IN AUTOMAT located in front of the hotel.

 

10.    How can I enter my room?

You need to use a unique PIN NUMBER written on your bill, which you receive after completing the payment.

 

11. What should I do, if I can`t check in at the Red Self Check In Automat or my PIN  doesn`t work?

You can call +41 (0)  795 260 536. This is only an emergency number! In front of the hotel reception is a public phone, where this number is programmed as free call.

 

12. Where do I get my breakfast?

If you book breakfast in advance (15CHF per person), you will get a breakfast voucher at the reception (opening hours 2 - 9 pm) while checking in. In the breakfast room in the first floor of the building, you can get your breakfast with the voucher or you can pay directly. There are other possibilities in order to get breakfast close to the railway station (e.g. Monsieur Baguette, Baarerstr. 53 or Starbucks at shopping mal Metalli).

 

13. How can I make an outside phone call from my room?

You can call any toll-free number. Dial "0" first and than the toll-free number you want to call. There are calling-cards available e.g. from www.flash-callingcard.com with toll-free numbers.  Another option would be to use a Voice over IP service, e.g. www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/

Your people can call your room directly from outside. Please have them call you at the following number: +44 (0) 41 712 20 25. They need to know your room number (they will be asked to type in the room number after they have been connected, they need to use three digits, please use "1" as first number followed by your actual room number).

14. What can I do in an emergency situation?

The phone in your room has free access to police, fire department and ambulance. The numbers are already stored, so please use the instructions on your phone.

 

15. How may I get a wake - up call?

Please see the instructions on the phone. Wake -up calls can be programmed in the phone.

 

16. TV - how may I get more programs in English?

We recommend to use www.zattoo.ch on your computer. You can watch free channels on your laptop. We have 35 channels including English, French and Italian channels among German channels.

 

17. How can you offer such low prices?

We offer hotel rooms at the lowest rates within the city of Zug with a high standard only with reduced staff at the reception. We perform the check-out while you check in, that also saves your time.

 

18. When do I need to check out?

The latest check out time is 10 am. Please be aware that in case of late check out, we may charge you for an additional night.
